Academy Award winners Clark Gable and Greer Garson star with Joan Blondell in this story of a sailor with a woman in every port who loses his heart to one. When Harry Patterson (Gable) meets librarian Emily Sears (Garson) the two complete opposites fall in love and marry. Yet Patterson's yearning for adventure threatens to tear the couple apart as Harry's wander lust competes with his love for Emily. And Emily's best friend, Helen (Joan Blondell), never shies from telling Emily what she really thinks about Harry. But the birth of their first child finally ends Harry's need for Adventure.
