So let me come back to The Furious and admit that I agree with most of these conversations about how it could very well be the best action film not just of the year, but one of the best from the present decade.

Nonetheless, the commitment to relentless mayhem positions The Furious in the tradition of 1970s kung fu cinema and as a crowd-pleaser.

Everyone else should probably give up making action movies at this point. Why bother even trying to compete when you're up against a film like The Furious?
