Spielberg proves he's still capable of constructing some exceptionally suspenseful and awe-inspiring sequences, especially in the latter half.

Director Steven Spielberg delivers all the pay-offs you expect from show-pony cinema.

Above all else, it is a movie about understanding – about making connections to help overcome troubling times. Yes, this is a movie about aliens, but more importantly, it is a movie about us.

It all gets too literal when it could have benefitted from being more ambiguous. Still, "Disclosure Day" is very entertaining and shows that Kansas City is out of this world.

The slackly paced Disclosure Day delivers aliens and thrills in equal parts to sentimentality and spectacle. It plays like Steven Spielberg directed an elaborate episode of The X-Files.
