When her friend Mrs. Call needs heart surgery in Los Angeles, Tammy refuses to leave her side. Unable to find lodging, she talks her way into a nurse's aide position, charming patients and upending the ward. She soon catches the eye of handsome Dr. Mark Cheswick. However, his superior, Dr. Bentley, and head nurse Rachel Coleman remain unconvinced that romance and medicine mix.
