Bayou free-spirit Tammy rescues Peter, a handsome pilot whose plane crashes near her Louisiana houseboat. While nursing him back to health, Tammy falls for him. When her grandfather is jailed for moonshining, she sets off for Peter's family's grand estate, where her warmth and charm shake up Peter and everything his proper family thought they knew.
