After the stock market crash leaves socialite Jeanette Desmereau penniless, she takes a writing job at a men's magazine and lands in a romantic tug-of-war between wealthy owner Jack Bristow and gruff editor Cyrus Anderson, who's constantly fighting his boss's battles and has no patience for society girls. But as office clashes turn personal, tempers flare and opposites attract.
