Two Americans, painter George and playwright Thomas, share a Paris apartment and vie for the affection of commercial artist Gilda. The trio makes a bold pact to avoid romantic complications, and soon spirited Gilda moves in. However, the competition between George and Thomas intensifies. When Thomas leaves for London to oversee a play, George seizes the opportunity to pursue Gilda, sparking chaos.
