Academy Award winner Henry Fonda stars with Maureen O'Hara as the patriarch of a rural West Virginia family, a family that lives and strives for a better life on the slopes of Spencer's Mountain. Clay Spencer (Fonda--On Golden Pond, 12 Angry Men) and his wife, Olivia (O'Hara--The Parent Trap), have worked hard to rear their nine children. And they are filled with pride when their eldest son, Clayboy (James MacArthur--Swiss Family Robinson, "Hawaii Five-O"), graduates from high school at the head of his class and dreams of being the first Spencer togo to college. But, even though Clay is the best employee at the local mill, there isn't enough money to pay for Clayboy's tuition at the university. Now, the entire family will work hard, suffer and sacrifice hopes to help the Clayboy live his dream in this classic family film.
