John Kramer (Tobin Bell) is back. The most chilling installment of the SAW franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw's most personal game. Overall I did enjoy this movie, it had me squirming in my seat and kept me engaged for most of the film. Do I think this is a groundbreaking masterpiece? no , in my opinion it is the best saw movie since the first one.

The blinding flashes from fluorescent lighting and MRI machines, the ominous buzzes and thuds of medical equipment. Like all great medical dramas, you can practically smell the antiseptic ER room odors through your screen.

If you’re a massive fan of the franchise, you may enjoy this angle on Kramer’s story. For everyone else, it’s a game you don’t really have to play.

Saw X is a welcome newcomer to the consistently excellent franchise, and one that sees Bell's best, most thought-provoking performance.

'SAW X' feels like a fresh start. It resets the playing board and sets a path forward for a deeper study of its iconic characters while introducing new obstacles for Kramer to slash, dash, and grind out of his way.
