Critics Consensus: It won't earn the franchise many new fans, but Saw VI is a surprising step up for what has become an intricately grisly annual tradition.

Saw 6 is just a retread without teeth. The real trap is in getting someone to watch it.

You already know what you’re getting with Saw VI. There’s nothing different or unique about this entry in the franchise.

It admittedly doesn't all work... but on the balance of things Saw VI is the most tonally adept and well thought-out entry since the third.

Health insurance companies take human life... They are the real serial killers of our time. Jigsaw and his proteges at least have the excuse of being fictional.

Only Tobin Bell is given much emotional variance and, as a result, only Tobin Bell makes any impression at all.
