It's one of the better war films of its era but the biggest problem with Objective, Burma! is that it's more American than it has any right to be.

One of the finest American war films to be released during WWII.

The action is gritty, the dialogue is sparse and the star Errol Flynn is at his swashbuckling best.

Most of the World War II films that were produced and released during the conflict understandably leaned heavy on the propaganda, which makes Objective, Burma! seem all the more unusual and remarkable.

It makes this picture moving and good, for all its outright faults and sorry limitations.
