There’s so much righteous anger in this movie, not just about the way girls are treated and about bodily autonomy, but also about the recession and America’s weird post-9/11 jingoist patriotism.

For a horror comedy, Jennifer’s Body is conspicuously unfunny and unscary.

While not all elements of the film fail to come together as cohesively as others, Jennifer’s Body proves itself to be one wild, satirically horrific experience.

Sometimes I think Jennifer's Body bites off a bit more flesh than it can chew. However, it screams with Diablo Cody's signature voice, and Karyn Kusama's biting satiric horror-comedy is not just a vibe, it's its own brand.
