Jennifer Aniston makes her film debut in this horror story about a psychotic, 600-year-old leprechaun (Warwick Davis) who goes on a murder spree through North Dakota after his precious bag of gold coins is stolen. He uses all of his magical destructive powers to trick, terrorize, and kill anyone who is unlucky enough to hinder his relentless search. In a frantic attempt to survive the wrath of the Leprechaun, Tori (Aniston) and her friends scramble to find the only weapon known to kill this Irish monster-a four-leaf clover.

The first scene teases a decent 90s horror film, then Jennifer Aniston shows up, and it all falls apart.

This gory, comical horror movie has long aggravated critics, but has pleased horror hounds over the years with its playful attitude and silly approach; taking it seriously is to do it a disservice.

Leprechaun is a film that severely requires the viewer to suspend all believability and plausibility. Yet, if you sit back and just go along for the ride, you will find Leprechaun to be more enjoyable than you might expect.

'...straight-to-VHS rubbish...'

If the film was either considerably goofier or significantly more horrifying, it might have worked.
