A teenage runaway gets more than she bargained for when she stays at an old hotel in this wildly offbeat shocker from cult director Paul Bartel. After running away from home, Cheryl moves into her aunt's decaying residential inn located in one of L.A.'s less desirable neighborhoods. She soon discovers that a wide variety of eccentrics lives there, including defrocked priests with muscle-man fetishes, falling-down alcoholics, senile old women, and a voyeuristic photographer named George, whom Cheryl enjoys teasing while he peeps on her. But when Cheryl decides to cross the line into physical action with George, she learns that his obsessions are more dangerous than she imagined.
