In 1944, a renowned symphony orchestra tours Europe's concert halls. During a performance, Hitler's soldiers attack, capturing the musicians and their conductor, Lionel Evans. Imprisoned in a Belgian castle, they are spared immediate execution by a music-loving Nazi commander. As they prepare a concert for his Nazi comrades, Evans fears what will happen once the music ends.
