One quiet night at Hastings Supermarket in idyllic Buck Lake, Arizona, will rapidly spiral into a terrifying battle between humans and Alien Raiders! At 11:07 pm, just before closing, a group of masked and armed-to-the-teeth militants invades the store, immediately killing several of the employees and shoppers and taking the rest hostage. But this is no ordinary robbery -- the masked men are a cadre of rogue scientists tracking and alien infestation. In this family grocery store, on this night, the deadly gang of alien hunters is determined to unmask the extraterrestrials and end the alien invasion ... at any cost.

What could have been a fairly rote monster movie gives us a level of suspense that you normally don't get for a film that comes in under the radar.

While perhaps not the most original or groundbreaking sci-fi/horror picture ever made, Alien Raiders at least succeeds in executing a simple-but-effective formula.

Coming across like "Quentin Tarantino Meets Aliens in a Supermarket," this nifty little movie is enough to restore your faith in the vitality of low-budget independent cinema.
