In Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, the iconic creatures from two of the scariest film franchises in movie history wage their most brutal battle ever - in our own backyard. The small town of Gunnison, Colorado becomes a war zone between two of the deadliest extra-terrestrial life forms - the Alien and the Predator. Certainly more watchable than its predecessor

Future Alien and Predator films never managed to capture the appeal of the originals, but they were at least more watchable than this. AVPR is without question the worst that these franchises ever got.

Manages to capture the appearance (and infrequently the mood), but never the essence of what made the original films so engaging.

The obligatory climactic battle is a pathetic letdown.

What I found was a cruel and brutal yet entertaining romp through the hallowed ground of the Alien and Predator franchises. Or, to put it in another way, this film is about as good as a sequel to a spin-off could possibly be.
