After Mystery Inc. bumble a case and nab an innocent man, they’re forced into early retirement from solving crime. But it doesn’t take long before their old friend Vincent Van Ghoul needs help, and pulls the team right back into action. It all started one Summer when Scooby-Doo, Shaggy and Daphne secretly hunted down 12 of the world’s spookiest ghosts, but failed to catch the most evil one of all… the 13th ghost. With the 13th ghost on the loose, the gang will have to look past their hidden secrets and settle some unfinished business. Bundle up and get ready for the icy slopes of the Himalayan mountains, chilling car chases, crystal balls and spine-tingling spells in this terrifyingly fun original movie!

What Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that Scooby-Doo! and the Curse of the 13th Ghost is a feature-length Scooby-Doo! adventure that has lots of cartoon scares, spooky images, and slapstick action. The gang faces raging, fanged-and-clawed ghosts who cackle, menace, and attack. They also must contend with a creepy mansion, a series of avalanches, chases, falls, and danger at every turn. Incredible though it may seem, this movie wraps up the story from The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo!, a 13-episode television series first shown in 1985. It works as a stand-alone movie, but will likely be more resonant for those devoted fans who have seen the earlier episodes (still available for purchase or streaming at the time of this movie's release). With frequent frights and the Mystery, Inc. heroes in near constant danger, this movie isn't for the youngest kids.
