A mindless B-film action horror thriller.

While “Werewolves” may not be worth the ticket price and effort of going to the movie theater, at least it is often fun unlike a movie with more resources like “Kraven the Hunter” (2024).

A fun throwback werewolf movie with some nice twists on the mythology.

It’s not a good movie, but it’s a tight little time passer. Frank Grillo, who’s at the center of it (playing a ripped bruiser who is also… a molecular biologist!), has a way of making any pulp movie better.

With its ongoing variations on its elements, it is inventive and largely entertaining.
