The Super Mario Galaxy Movie finds Mario and Luigi solving everyday problems in the Mushroom Kingdom with their "let's-a-go" attitude. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie didn't need to be that deep, but it didn't have to be this shallow either.

Falls into a classic sequel trap: bigger, busier, and far less focused.

Bigger does not necessarily mean better, and while this sequel reaches for the stars quite literally, it rarely finds anything of substance once it gets there.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is at least a hop in the right direction.
