It has an enchanting, Saturday morning fun-ness to it all that keeps it consistently entertaining, but Elio‘s zaniness can only shadow so much before its flaws in the presence of the Pixar back catalogue.

The [filmmakers] do a fine job in creating the wonder of space visually. Sadly, the story does not boast the same philosophical bent as earlier Pixar films like Inside Out or Soul.

A surprisingly beautiful and moving film! Great for families with so many important messages, but also something adults can appreciate. The movie is fun and very creative. This space adventure is actually a must see in theaters!

A lonely human boy, Elio Solis, makes contact with extraterrestrial life in hopes that someone out there understands him. However, tidily told adventure-sci-fi conventions have Pixar blandly going where they’ve gone before.
