Tate had the rare ability to take a largely dimensionless part and mesmerize her audience with her charisma in front of the camera and life off-screen.

The comedy runs hot-and-cold, but the film is unique in its structure.

A pretty amusing and frequently entertaining hybrid of horror and humor that works thanks to the all-in performances from MacGowran, Mayne and Polanski, some inspired gags here and there, the striking visuals and, of course, Tate herself.

Lustrous caricature of Hammer frights

Ferdy Mayne is the menacing Dracula, and Sharon Tate, lady in question, looks particularly nice in her bath.
