Eva Gregory really wants a pet. And her parents really don't. Now when Eva bonds with a charming, furry little pick pocket she's in for a whole lot of Monkey Trouble. Eva's (Thora Birch) mom (Mimi Rodgers) is obsessively neat; her dad's (Christopher McDonald) allergic to fur. But when a thieving organ grinder's (Harvey Keitel) monkey escapes, Eva bonds with a new friend. As much as she tries, Eva can't housebreak her new pet...or break him of his training to steal. And Eva's getting the blame in this heart warming family comedy.

Ludicrous monkey caper has loads of potty humor.
What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Monkey Trouble is a low-budget 1994 comedy with plenty of potty humor. A monkey urinates on a floor, passes gas, and closes a toilet seat because of the smell. Some iffy behavior -- sneaking out against parents' wishes -- receives mild consequences, and the main character is mischievous and bratty. Scenes where Harvey Keitel -- who plays a drunken transient -- pursues a young girl might be a little scary for younger viewers.
