What Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that Scoot & Kassie's Christmas Adventure is a family adventure in which a young girl saves an injured dog and comes together with local friends to stop a robbery. It is mostly very wholesome, with no strong language, consumption of adult substances, or sexual content, although there are ocassional moments of teasing between teens. There are also moments of mild peril, with a young character kidnapped by robbers, as well as instances of mild violence including a character being punched in the face. A dog is also injured and presumed dead. The movie focuses on family, friends, and community, with the local church also a strong focus. Main character Kassie (Ariana Bagley) has a strong family dynamic with her sister, Esther (Camrey Bagley Fox), and father, Paul (Luke Perry), following the death of the sister's mother. Messages of kindness and understanding are central, and the tone is mostly upbeat and warm. The movie is also known as K-9 Adventures: A Christmas Tale in some territories and has a sequel called K-9 Adventures: Legend of the Lost Gold.
