Starring Charlie Day ("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") in his directorial debut, this hilarious comedy follows an ordinary guy (Day) who happens to be a dead ringer for a hot-headed movie star. Fool’s Paradise doesn’t have anything especially sharp to say about the biz — and, in the absence of clever or indeed funny writing, the film’s weak center is exposed.

Fool’s Paradise is not worth the watch for even die-hard Always Sunny fans. Best to live in one’s own fool’s paradise and forget this film exists.

The ultimate paradox, sadly, is that what demonstrates the idiocy of Hollywood most clearly of all is the fact that this film was made at all.
