Barney Shirrel arrives at Mid West University, joins the football team, and pledges a fraternity. His roommate, Mondrake, the school's star player, battles booze and heartbreak when Barney's sister, Barbara, attracts both the charming Prof. Danvers and Mondrake, igniting a rivalry. With the big game on the line and Mondrake's future hanging in the balance, Barney must sub in and save the day.
