Yet in the Wills house, Reagan lives in the shadow of her superstar brother Logan, the MVP of his high school football team. When Reagan fails to make the cut of her middle school soccer club and is humiliated by her rival Claire, she's certain her ship has sailed. What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Alex & Me is about a young female athlete who learns important lessons about hard work, perseverance, and teamwork. Soccer superstar Alex Morgan, making her movie debut, helps guide a girl named Reagan (Siena Agudong) as she tries to recover from her disappointment at being cut from a team and focus on putting in the work necessary to succeed. Reagan's parents are initially distracted and overly focused on her older brother, but they ultimately support Reagan and her dreams. A local youth soccer coach lies about his credentials and background. He forces his team to trespass, since he has no access to fields for practice. A rival soccer player pushes and taunts Reagan. A dad pays his daughter to score goals. Reagan has a sweet friendship with a soccer-loving boy; they seem to have a crush on each other but there's no kissing or romantic talk.
