From the producers of Step Brothers comes an absurdly hilarious comedy. In Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain, John Goodman narrates the adventure of Ben, Martin, and John, three childhood friends turned deadbeat co-workers, who fend off hairless bears, desperate park rangers and a hypocritical cult leader in the hopes of finding a priceless treasure, only to discover that finding the treasure is the easiest part of their journey. As is typical for an SNL-spawned movie, Treasure meanders. Unusually though, the ratio of jokes to running time remains favorable, even if some of the surprise cameos fail to amaze.

Their group dynamic needs to figure out how to better distinguish their personas, but they’re also generous in sharing the screen. The funniest role they’ve written here goes to Meg Stalter as a deluded park ranger.

Unfortunately, Please Don't Destroy's first feature-length film offers a painfully predictable story and fails to elicit almost any laughs.
