Eva Longoria Parker (TV's Desperate Housewives) stars in this devilishly funny romantic comedy about holding onto the ones you love...even after you're gone. When Kate (Longoria Parker) is killed by an ice sculpture on her wedding day, her fiancé Henry (Paul Rudd, Knocked Up) gives up on romance until he falls for the beautiful psychic (Lake Bell, TV's Boston Legal) who's supposed to be helping him move on. But Kate's not having it, and she's going to do whatever it takes to send their budding relationship six-feet-under.

Critics Consensus: With few laughs and little romantic chemistry, Over Her Dead Body lacks the ingredients of a successful romantic comedy.

The film -- pinched from Ghost in every relevant particular -- is pretty moderate.

[An] offense of a ghost comedy.

A desperately unfunny farce that doesn't need an audience so much as an exorcist.

Ghost-lite romantic comedy is only so-so.

What Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that this romantic comedy stars Eva Longoria Parker, who's popular (and familiar to teens) not just for her starring role in Desperate Housewives but also for her tabloid-followed celebrity marriage to NBA player Tony Parker. There's not really any gratuitous content in the film: The language is standard for the PG-13 rating ("bitch," "s--t," etc.), there's no violence or overt product tie-ins, and the one (aborted) love scene (which shows a man and a lingerie-clad woman fooling around in bed) is more humorous than sexy.
