It's clear that Wes' beautiful brain goes in fresh directions when it comes to animation versus live action.

A marvelous marriage of Wes Anderson's trademark wry humor and a visually striking stop-motion animation style reminiscent of Jan Svankmajer.

A work of pure animated joy that smacks of Andersonian stylings but doesn't seem to strain under the weight of its own subterranean yearning to be wild, alive, passionate and still compassionate.

Anderson adds a bit of an existential twist onto the story.

There's always a gag, a visual, a line delivery or something else happening on-screen to capture your interest, and you could watch it half-a-dozen times and still not capture every detail.
