Trolls may be one of the more forgettable (brand tie-in movies), but while its here everyone will be entertained.

There's nothing to really dislike here; it's too chirpy and enthusiastic for that. There's just a disappointing lack of effort to do more than is expected of it.

When it comes to characters, story and personality, though, the movie's as thin as a wisp of brightly colored hair...

There's no denying that kids will likely eat this up, dance in the aisles, and have a good time out, but I'm guessing there will be a sizable number of adults in close proximity tapping their toes and smiling right along with them.

It's gloriously colourful, simultaneously silly yet often deceptively clever, and actually rather enchanting.
