As much as D.E.B.S. was a passion project for [filmmaker Angela] Robinson... it is foremost a fun, silly action comedy about sends up Charlie's Angels.

The action sequences tend to lack urgency and suspense, and they're actually rather boring. The love story is the interesting part, and it's both a product of its time and ahead of it

As with the majority of the most eminently watchable films of that period, sometimes it is best not to ask 'how good,' but rather 'how gay.'
