Like most successful sequels, it gives you everything you want along with stuff you never knew you needed.

As the voices of Erivo and Grande reach for the heavens, you can feel the film around them dragging them down.

The sequel struggles with the best material and musical numbers appearing in the first half. Wicked: For Good is still solid, featuring strong performances by the main trio, but the film suffers from extra narrative padding and pacing issues.

From their vocals to their acting choices, Erivo and Grande prove once again that they were born to play these roles. [...] Jon M. Chu is a genius and we’re so lucky to have him bringing movie musicals to the screen at this level.
