Animated book-based monster tale has potty humor, peril.

The Little Vampire, a low-budget cartoon with supernatural characters who aren't so much undead as lifeless.

A tame-enough tale of tolerance, though bonus points for a healthy dose of toilet humour and a flying, fanged cow.

The movie-making prowess of the UK, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands have combined for this, a flaccid cartoon Euro-pudding that, if nothing else, will ensure that the brains trust at Pixar sleeps soundly at night...

The dialogue is flat and the animation is workmanlike but it is quirky and pacy enough to keep younger children quiet.
