"October Baby" tells the story of Hannah, 19, a home-schooled Baptist who is told by a doctor that her ailments (asthma, seizures, moodiness) are the result of being born prematurely after an abortion attempt. Hannah sets out to find her birth mother, a quest that ends in tears and, ultimately, a lesson in forgiveness delivered by a Catholic priest.

A film that wears its faith on its sleeves yet leaves enough room at the table for all who choose to join in.

The Erwins get the biggest thing right: telling Hannah's story-and just Hannah's story-simply and sincerely.

A well-intentioned yet hopelessly ineffective drama...

tries to walk a line between abortion drama and adoption drama. All the wringing of hands in this film are results of cliches we've seen in television and movies for years.
