Endless Love never lets you forget what the book's sophisticated language lets you ignore: that our protagonists are a pair of shallow, spoiled teenagers.

The story is incoherent and wildly gratuitous. [Full Review in Spanish]

The original Endless Love is so bonkers it scored "Next Level" on the Mantzoukas scale and immediately won a place in my heart alongside Mariah Carey's epic, Gliter.

Is Brooke Shields truly obsession worthy? And can she carry, commercially, another movie about another kind of obsession? The answer is no.

Trite Blue Lagoonish dialogue trivializes this film adaptation of Scott Spencer's first-rate 1979 novel of obsession but does not spoil it on the level of pop romance.
