Years after Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) fought his way out of the escape-proof prison called "The Tomb," he's organized a new top-notch, for-hire security force. Escape Plan 2: Hades fails to recapture what made the previous film a decent watch. It doesn’t offer up any thrills, compelling characters or humor.

Utterly nonsensical and incomprehensible, Escape Plan 2 is as mindlessly bland an action flick as they come.

The entire nostalgic appeal of the original Escape Plan is gone, replaced by something genuinely terrible and weirdly incompetent.

It is a complete disaster, there is nothing in it that is not deficient at best and horrible at worst. [Full Review in Spanish]

this movie appears to exist because enough number crunchers came to believe that a DTV sequel to Escape Plan could eke out a profit, and a movie was set into production based upon that inspired notion.
