Almost every scene or story element feels familiar in one way or another, so much so that enjoying the movie on its own terms becomes impossible.

“Lockout” takes a lot of its inspiration from those 80’s action flicks, and it unashamedly tries to recreate the tone and feel of those films.

...no matter how firmly your food taster is nestled into your jowls there are so many things that a film for general consumption is not allowed to do. Lockout does them all.

Ridiculously schlocky, relentlessly spirited, overloaded with action, and immensely entertaining in the popcorn flick kind of way.
