On its modest level, Tor Soldiers is an admirable toy. [Full review in Spanish]

This isn't a slick, PG ode to the rah-rah antics of the Rambo sequels; instead, the teenagers and teachers are as likely to die as the terrorists in this violent, R-rated endeavor.

...a pretty irresistible setup that's employed to middling and predominantly underwhelming effect by Petrie Jr...

It at least has some kitsch value for its insistence that Sean Astin can be a hard nosed action hero.
