Patient Zero is void of horror. It struggles to build tension thanks to a predictable plot and lackluster villains, which is as shame considering how the infected were built up to be this menacing force.

In all, I have definitely seen worse movies. Melodrama and over abundance of unnecessary intensity aside, the movie was intense and the twist in the end was not bad. Speaking of, that ending pissed me off.

Patient Zero's watchable vibe takes a rather palpable hit as it enters its padded-out, spinning-its-wheels midsection...

Patient Zero wets an appetite to see similar films, but certainly not to rewatch the film itself.

This quasi-zombie action movie eventually wanders cluelessly off track, but, as it consists mainly of yelling, sudden loud noises, and camera-shaking, it gets aggravating long before that happens.
