The famous horror franchise arrives for a second time in cinemas, but the execution feels like a waste of time, and the video game adaptation curse is back at it again.

If "Five Nights at Freddy's 2" were an animatronic robot, it would be lacking both the parts and the power supply to get where it needs to go. 

From its baffling screenplay to its laughable attempts at scares and developments between these characters, this sequel is truly adrift and only exists to tease and jingle keys.

A lazy screenplay with its head shoved so far up its own lore-centric ass, choosing to double down on obnoxious fan service and a convoluted mythology that will leave any non-game players scratching their heads.

Fans of the games and young moviegoers hoping for a gateway horror film deserve better than this willfully lousy (after a solid first act) snooze-fest that treats its IP as an excuse to barely try.
