Esther Williams, Red Skelton and Basil Rathbone dive into comedy, romance song and a whole lot of water ballet when a Broadway songwriter enrolls as the lone male student in a woman's college to woo a Bathing Beauty. Composer Steve Elliot (Skelton) as standing at the altar awaiting his bride, Caroline Brooks (Williams), when a woman strides into the church with three red-headed boys in tow claiming to be Elliot's wife. Even though the woman was hired by Steve's producer to keep his star composer from being distracted by love and marriage, the ploy works: To avoid Steve, Caroline takes a job as the swimming instructor at a woman's college. But Steve finds a loophole that allows him to enroll as the school's only male student. Now, it's hilarious fun as Steve once again woos Caroline in this singing, swimming musical spectacular.
