This film is the cinematic equivalent of a marshmallow. It's soft and fluffy, but it leaves you unsatisfied and hungering for more after you consume it.

Larry Crowne is agreeable, nimble and oddly reassuring, a big-studio comedy/drama that is funny but refreshingly unemphatic in its jokes and emotional beats.

Tom Hanks directs himself in this, and also wrote the original script, so if you ever thought you can't have too much Hanks here is something else to blow your mind: you so, so can.
