Academy Award winners Burt Lancaster and Gene Hackman star with Scott Wilson as a three-man team of daredevil skydivers who barnstorm their way across the United States, wowing audiences and pushing the limits of their luck with amazing feats--The Gypsy Moths. But when Mike Rettig (Lancaster--From Here to Eternity, Elmer Gantry), Joe Browdy (Hackman--Unforgiven, Mississippi Burning) and Malcom Webson (Wilson--In Cold Blood, Flesh and Bone) come to Bridgeport, Kansas, and stay in the home of Malcolm's Aunt Elizabeth (Deborah Kerr--The King and I, From Here to Eternity) and Uncle John Brandon (William Windom--Sommersby), Mike goes too far. He seduces Elizabeth, starting a downward, accelerating spiral that can only end in tragedy.
