Steven Seagal stars as dedicated Los Angeles police detective Mason Storm, who uncovers a high-level web of political corruption and murder. Gunned down by a member of his own police force, Storm spends seven years in a coma before awakening to learn that his family was murdered years ago. Now, years after the crime and not knowing the perpetrators, Storm wants justice--and nothing and no one is going to stop him.

The choreography of violence is competent enough to satisfy the more violence-addicted sector of the video public. For even a modicum of redeeming charm, wit or humor, however, Seagal is clearly no Schwarzenegger.

Hard to Kill -- which is even less subtle than its title -- is all show and no depth.

...a fairly ludicrous premise that's employed to impressively entertaining effect...

It's a highly amusing motion picture with a distinct '80's action feel, matched perfectly to Seagal's limitations as an actor and his endearing way with limb-snappings.
