A desperate gasp for oxygen...Most of the victims are female, a cliche that begs the question: where is the outcry? With violence against women occupying so much space in the media it’s truly puzzling why the slaughter on screen draws so little comment.

“I Know What You Did Last Summer”…and it’s pretty much the same thing you did in 1997.

It’s stuck in the past, paralyzed by its own lack of imagination still fumbling around in the dark, hoping an old hook can still do the job.

It's a fun and stylish legacy sequel that makes out with its history in the mirror while carefully carving out an identity of its own.

As bad as the 1997 version was (not to mention the ludicrous 1998 cash-in sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer), it comes across like the original Scream (or at least Scream 2) in comparison to this one.
