When his world is shattered by tragic events set in motion by the diabolical Joker, Superman becomes hell-bent on enforcing peace...at any cost. The Man of Steel begins a reign of tyranny that can only be stopped by one hero: Batman. The splintered Justice League divides its ranks as the two former allies wage a deadly battle for freedom. In this alternate world of chaos, loyalties are tested, and the line between friend and foe blurs. Based on the critically acclaimed video game and graphic novel, Injustice unleashes an all-out war fought by DC’s mightiest. Can the world survive?

What Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that Injustice is a 2021 animated movie in which Superman decides to take the law into his own hands after the murder of his pregnant wife. The movie is rated R for "bloody violence," and there's more than the standard cartoon violence in this one. Beloved and not-so-beloved characters are killed, sometimes in graphic ways. One character is shot in the eye, another is struck with a giant mallet -- blood in both. A building explodes, taking out a large section of Metropolis -- dead bodies, destruction, trauma. Fighting with guns, knives, rods, arrows, punches, kicks. One character crushes another's head with their foot, matched with a crunching sound effect and blood. Sexual innuendo in some scenes. Kissing. Some profanity, including "p---y" and "s--t." Drinking in a bar.
