Thirty somethings Gayle, Becky and Judi--best friends and female nerds from way back--are headed to Texas' South Padre Island, vacationing spot for young, beautiful and wild college co-eds. But they've been saddled with chaperoning Senator Kay Bee Hartmann's notoriously out-of-control daughter, Ashley. The talented lady comediennes are overwhelmed with the bad material they are asked to deliver.

I laughed a few times, mostly at Missi Pyle's antics.

isn't exactly the kind of movie that you would expect

Is "Spring Breakdown" as good as "Mean Girls"? Or even as good as "Baby Mama"? No, not quite. But it's funny enough to be in the same neighborhood, and that makes it well worth a recommendation.
