Once upon a time, a second-rate talent agent named Sammy (Billy Crystal) was more devoted to his career than to his wife Serena (Kathleen Quinlan) and his son Nick (Zane Carney). His work took him to Romania where by accident (literally), Sammy discovers 7'7" giant, Max (Gheorghe Muresan), a Shakespeare-quoting monastery caretaker. Sammy believes Max is his ticket out of mediocrity, and he convinces Max to come to America. Together Sammy and Max set out on a road to fulfill their dreams in a remarkable journey leads them to unexpected transformations of the heart. Fairy tales are like that sometimes.
