The film may live up to its name with its constant rounds blazed off but its one side shoots then the other side shoots with none of the flair or motion seen at the former western stunts show at Knott’s Berry Farm.

Gunslingers is not the finest hour for any actor involved, though they run the gamut from competency to simply being too modern in look and manner to convince in a period setting that already feels like some sort of western cosplay weekend.

A compendium of genre cliches and stereotypes as generic as its title, this Western thriller feels tossed-off on both sides of the camera.

Only Cage’s most diehard cultists will want to go to bat for this performance, and they could easily struggle to accentuate the positive.

Writer/director Brian Skiba doesn't have much of a story to tell here, or more to the point, he doesn't have one to tell that takes advantage of his premise.
